- The Wellingtonista
- Following the success of the recent Wellington Flickr Group's exhibition at the Paramount, cames yet more photographic goodness from a Wellington flickr-ite legend A Different Perspective (aka Jim Henderson). He's putting on an exhibition of his work down at Island Bay's The Bach cafe, from the 1st to the 30th of April. Wellington MTBO Series - {Makara} Peak
- Wellington Orienteering Association
- Brilliant weather in other parts of Wellington today was replaced by mist on the top of {Makara} Peak, and a bit of a breeze buffeted riders on exposed tracks such as Ridgeline. However it was great in the bush and afterwards on the grass as the scores were totted up. Stephen Betts judged things nicely with slightly too many controls for MP Supporters president John Randal to visit - he scored 470 out of a possible 540.

Support YOUR Sanctuary
- Karori Sanctuary Trust
- On Wednesday 4 April, Karori Wildlife Sanctuary will hold its second annual street collection as part of its Annual Appeal. Over 100 volunteers will take to the streets around Wellington CBD, Karori, Thorndon, Johnsonville and the Airport. The money they raise will be put towards vital ecological restoration work at the award-winning Sanctuary, which costs over $2 million a year to run.

Zl6qh leads oceania in 2006 cq wpx cw contest
- ZL6QH Quartz Hill User Group
- We are pleased to note that ZL6QH achieved a score of 12,000,720 in the Multi-Two category of the 2006 CQ WPX CW Contest. This was the highest score in Oceania and the 7th highest world-wide, although we failed to beat the record Oceania score of 13,312,768 set by ZL6QH in 2004.

St Michael's & Kelburn Village Fair - March 10 from 10am

- The St Michael's & Kelburn Village Fair is on tomorrow at 10am. This will be the first one I've managed to catch, so I can't regale you with tales of past experiences, but I can promise you stalls, home baking, junk/treasure, and probably an awful lot of very out of date 2nd hand university text books.
