Shops that pass in the night 12
- WellUrban
- The stretch of upper Cuba St shops being redeveloped as part of The Wellington apartment and hotel complex is now almost completely tenanted. As I noted a couple of months ago, Eyeball Kicks and the superette have already moved in, and Mojo coffee and Caffé Italiano are both supposed to be on the way.

BNU v. Kapiti Coast United, 0-2
- Brooklyn Northern United AFC
- The results haven’t been that flash but the weather continues to be. Another cracking day for football had a reasonable crowd turn up to hopefully see BNU get their season on track. Wakefield number two was looking it usual lumpy self as the two bottom placed sides in the league faced up.

Playing favourites #8: Freyberg Pool
- WellUrban
- There's been some debate over on the Architectural Centre blog about whether or not the Freyberg Pool belongs among Wellington's ten best buildings, but for me, there's never been any doubt.

It takes tua to tango
- Karori Sanctuary Trust
- Less than 18 months ago, tuatara were extinct in the wild on mainland New Zealand. However, in December 2005 an arrangement between Ngati Koata and Wellington’s award-winning Karori Sanctuary saw 70 Cook Strait tuatara (Sphenodon punctatus) transferred from Stephens Island (Takapourewa) to the 225ha wildlife sanctuary in the capital.

Report on 7 April Activity Day
- ZL6QH Quartz Hill User Group
- It turned out to be a brilliant day for Quartz Hill activities - plenty of sunshine and no wind. The main project was to rebuild the NA 20M yagi which was damaged in high winds that battered Wellington in March.

Quartz Hill activity day - 5 may 2007
- ZL6QH Quartz Hill User Group
- The next Quartz Hill Activity Day is on Saturday 5 May 2007, starting at 9:00 am. As usual, the objective is to catch up on project and maintenance work as well as providing an opportunity to look around the station, try out the big antennas and have some eyeball QSOs. Visitors are always very welcome and there is no requirement to participate in the more "physical" activities.

Deco delights
- WellUrban
- The development of Chaffers Dock may be dragging on interminably (the ground floor shops and public area have been "just about to open" since last year), but there's recently been a very welcome little bit of progress. The long-promised public viewing platform on the roof is finally open, and it provides wonderful elevated views of the harbour, city and Waitangi Park.

Zm2e 137 khz activity
- ZL6QH Quartz Hill User Group
- There is a bed and mattress firm in Wellington with a slogan: "You get more Zeds at Wellington beds". How that compares with ZM2E can be checked out from any listener reports. We would hope that you get more Zeds from Quartz Hill, but the last laugh may be on us with the threat of watching eyelids during the third night.
