aro cafe
- Breakfast this morning with Mischief Bad Group was at Aro Cafe, and while I love Aro Cafe (they have good coffee, an excellent wine list and their dinner is outstanding), I'm not pleased with their breakfast.

Wellington Winter Afterwork Rogaine Series - Brooklyn/Aro St
- Wellington Orienteering Association
- There were 73 participants, and all controls got at least one visit. Perhaps too many visits from the point of view of the tramps, who apparently had to move from their seat in Central Park at Control 30 for rogainers to inspect the plaque.

Street Collection Day Update - $8,459.20 raised!
- Karori Sanctuary Trust
- A big thank you to everyone who helped out with the Sanctuary's first annual street Collection Day last week. We raised a grand total of $8,459.20! Over 150 volunteers collected at various locations around Wellington, including MP Marian Hobbs, who collected outside Parliament during her lunckbreak. Every cent raised will go towards vital habitat restoration and species recovery work at the Sanctuary, bringing rare wildlife back to Wellington.

Run No. 1603 - Pizza frenzy
- Wellington Hash House Harriers
- The pack followed instructions and went up the hill to find trail, that was the last I saw of them. The rest ignored advice from the Hare and made a quick dash to the Newlands Tavern.

BNU v. Waterside Karori
- Brooklyn Northern United AFC
- In a moment of scheduling madness this match was put down for Sunday 14th of May, the afternoon after the best FA Cup Final in living memory. To watch the magnificent footballing mastery that is Liverpool Football Club and the skills of perhaps the best player of our time, Steven Gerrard, and then have to turn up to Nairnville Park to play on a greasy pitch in inclement weather provides a contrast of Grand Canyon-like proportions.
