      • We are approaching our Annual General Meeting at the end of the month and I cordially invite you to come along. In fact, it would be fantastic if you could. While we are looking for more volunteers, we will not be press ganging anyone onto the committee if they do not want to join. We will have some of our Council officials there to get their opinions on where they see Wellington is at and is heading, and we should have time to have an overview on a number of the topical issues in front of us at present.

    • WCN and its future is at risk.
      • 18 May 2009
      • Wellington Community Network (WCN)
      • For the past four months we have been trying to get WCC management to reverse their recommendation to remove Community ICT funding, as this is where WCN funding comes from. Sadly, our efforts have not been successful as the draft LTCCP proposes removing Community ICT and WCN funding for the next ten years from the community protection available offered by the LTCCP.

      • The Wests Roosters again showed their mettle against frontrunner Poneke, but missed out on the four points. Poneke became the latest team to experience the commitment and pluck of the Roosters, forced to draw on all their defensive qualities to deprive the Roosters of the four competition points and the Cederwall Trophy.
