      • Makererua - Heke St steps July 2010 The steps between  Makererua and Hekes Streets are now open again.   They have a new hand rail, a very smart gutter, and a new pathway. The Pukatea Track starts at the bottom of the steps and takes you through the reserve to Orleans Street in about 10 minutes.

We are inviting Mayoral and Onslow/Western ward candidates to speak and answer questions. The meeting will be in the Ngaio School hall at 7:45 pm on Thursday, 9 September.

      • Economic Development Minister Gerry Brownlee announced today that the government will contribute $100,000 towards the ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships in March 2011, following news that New Zealand will host the event in Wellington in March next year.
