- Is this hypocrisy? The NZ Transport Agency refuses to provide money to build a cycleway on the edge of the harbour from Petone to Wellington. But the Agency says that more of us should be riding our bikes and leaving our cars at home.

- Amongst all the details of new roads and ramps and car parks, there’s some enthusiasm about cycling and walking in the Regional Council’s new ten-year plan for transport from Ngauranga to Te Marua.
In particular, there’s a strong recommendation for a good quality cycling and walking route between Ngauranga and Petone. Regional Council chair Fran Wilde says it is one of the major projects in the plan.

- The annual Wellington Round the Bays event is also on Sunday 21 February and will see a number of road closures around the waterfront, including Oriental Parade from 7.15am to 11.00am.
We’ll get details on how this will affect access to the Club and Marina and post them here for you. We’ve had this before and it hasn’t been a big deal.
