Coastguard Mana / April 2023
Coastguard Mana is an affiliated member of Coastguard New Zealand and is a Unit of Coastguard Central Region. We are based at the Mana Cruising Club / Mana Marina on the west coast of the North Island, just up the road from Wellington. Our area of responsibility covers the Mana inshore recreational area and the northern end of Cook Strait across to the top of the Marlborough Sounds.

Fuel blockage tow from Pukerua Bay

- Operation Details Date/Time: Sun, 23/04/2023 - 13:00 - 17:00 Operation Type: SAROP Cat 1 People Assisted: 2 Total Volunteer Hours: 20 Tow from Pukerua Bay to Plimmerton Boat Ramp, Vessel experienced a fuel blockage to an in board petrol engine, Chnged fuel filter problem persisted. Vessel n close to rocks, experienced issues raising anchor. Took under tow. 1 to 1.5 metre confused seas. slow long tow tafted up and took to boat ramp.
