Fem-Cat Friday introduces Becky
- CataBlog
- Little 12 year old Becky came into the shelter as "Bungeye", having lost her right eye in a car accident when she was young. Becky3.jpg Our volunteers hated the name and felt that it focused on her physical issues rather than the lovely cat that she is. Normally we don't rename our cats, but so many people felt that her name just didn't do her justice that we've made an exception in this case.

Fem-Cat Friday is back!
- CataBlog
- Yep - it's been a while, I know. No promises, but I'm going to try to get back to highlighting one of the girls in the shelter looking for a new home each Friday. (If anyone can think of a better name than Fem-Cat Friday, please let me know!) Man-Cat Monday is also planned to follow.

Affordable Housing
- Eye of the Fish
- It’s nice to be able to talk about good things happening in the Wellington architectural market, and the recent announcement in the DomPost about the new replacements for the WCC Regent Park flats is, to me, really good news.

Go Wellington gets three more old diesel bangers for the trolley routes
- Poneke
- Further evidence of the desire of all concerned to marginalise Wellington’s trolley buses is hardly needed, but wait, there is still more.

Same old
- The Wellingtonista
- The Graffology and Wgtn Wall Street graffiti blogs noticed that the Wellington City Council's anti-graffiti posters (you know, these ones) had illustrated the evil graffiti by using a photo collage of actual non-illegal graffiti.

Outer-T Competition announced
- Eye of the Fish
- Outer-T Competition announced Maximus 18-07-09 1 comment competitionwaterfront We’d hoped to be first to bring you details of the competition on the Outer-T, but the Architectural Centre bet us to it. Ideas welcome - closes 24 August. Oddly enough, there’s not a thing on the websites of either Wellington Waterfront or the City Council yet.

Something to mull over
- The Wellingtonista
- Having observed a steaming hot urn of it at the Southern Cross on Saturday night, surrounded by blankets and hot water bottles, we want to know: where can one get the best mulled wine in Wellington, how much will we have to pay for it, and approximately what alcoholic percentage will it be? Do our work for us in the comments section. Thanks!
