      • The Wellingtonista
      • The Bats are playing in Wellington on Saturday, November 3rd at Bar Bodega. As a frequent attendee of their gigs I can attest to their consistent awesomenes. The loyal following of groupies, supporters for over 30 years in many instances, indicates I’m not alone.

      • The Wellingtonista
      • An unfortunate number of Wellingtonistas are rather fond of making rather terrible puns quite frequently, which means a lot of my time is spend making "Badoom chish!" sounds.

    • Wellington is a good place to get shipwrecked
      • 1 Sep 2009
      • The Wellingtonista
      • We've written before about the fire at the Maranui Surf Cafe, and how bloody sad that was, but it's kind of bloody lovely to see the way that this city can be all small-town-like and good-hearted, with yet more events planned to raise money for the cause.

    • A late gig poster review
      • 26 Apr 2007
      • The Wellingtonista
      • I meant to do a gig-poster review a while back. It was so long ago now, that not only have all of the gigs already happened but Stephen covered my favourite recent poster, Richard Buckner and Edith Frost at the Bathouse, weeks ago. Fantastic use of colour, lines, font and imagery. I feel ashamed I missed the actual event.
