First XI Takes 2009 Title
- St Patricks College, Silverstream
- Saturday 22 August 2009: The First XV capped a fine season by taking the Wellington Division 1 title, beating Scots College 3-1 in the Final. Hamish Watson scored all three goals - his second hat-trick of the season. The team also won five of the six Traditionals this year including a first ever win over Palmerston North Boys' High School.

- On Sunday 11 November changed timetables will come into effect for many routes, but in particular the routes serving Churton Park, being routes 1, 19 and 19e.Residents are strongly advised to check the new timetables which are available on the Metlink website site before travelling. https://www.metlink.org.nz/#timetables Additional buses will also run in the evenings on routes 1 and 19.

- Operation Details Date/Time: Sun, 27/12/2020 - 18:00 - 20:45 Operation Type: CG Operation (good samaritan) People Assisted: 0 Total Volunteer Hours: 11 A small launch on the pole moorings broke its stern line and drifted around on its bow line and wedged itself between the pole and the yacht moored in front of it. We were asked by the pole mooring manager to assist with getting it back on its mooring so that it didn't damage the yacht. MR1 was used to push it around and secure it back in place. Also assisted the Mana Marina manager to recover the turning bouys from outside the entrance that had broken away. Porirua Hospital Museum
- The Porirua Hospital Museum and Resource Centre is housed in F-Ward, built in 1909 as part of the Porirua Hospital campus. It records the history of the development of mental health services in New Zealand from what can be considered their inception in 1844. The Thistle Inn
- The Thistle Inn was built in 1840. she is the oldest hotel in NZ still trading from the original site. In July 1866 she was burnt to the ground but by December the same year she was back operating. You will see the original beer cellar through the glass floor. She is a Category 1 historic place building and was completely restored in 2004 (as close as possible to how she was in 1866).
