    • First XI Score Emphatic Win over Tawa
      • Wednesday 11 August 2010: In a mid-week catch up game, Stream's First XI Football team faced third placed Tawa as they aim for the Premier 1 title. In a game played at pace on a firm, well-prepared Silverstream pitch Stream's solid defence and powerful attack was too much for Tawa. Two goals from Mitchell Blair and a hat-trick to Hamish Watson gave Stream a 5-1 final result.

    • The rain, the drains, the buses
      • A week or so after 30 year, 50 year, 80 year, and 100 year rain events, no answers are forthcoming about why the city was shutdown because of a slip and a large puddle. Nor are any answers forthcoming on what the Wellington City Council in particular is going to do about the woeful state of its storm water. It’s a shambles and, in the middle of all of this, emergency management was really nowhere to be seen.

      • Elements is an award winning eatery located in a beautiful old building (circa 1925), that once housed the library, post office, chemist and butcher. The once divided shops are now a 75 seat eatery just a short hop from the CBD, a stone’s throw from Lyall Bay beach and a 5 minute drive from the airport.

      • Northern United Rugby Football Club Inc was established in 1990 as a result of the amalgamation of the Porirua and Titahi Bay Rugby Football Clubs after their 1989 season. Northern United RFC is known as ‘Norths’ within the Wellington Rugby Football Union. • Te Hiko - Centre for Community Innovation
      • After more than 30 years of working closely alongside whānau and hapori (communities) in Porirua, the Hutt Valley and Wellington, we at Wesley have learnt first-hand that with the right support, sustainable responses to complex issues can be driven by hapori themselves. We’ve been working out, as a community organization, what our part is in sparking the local community economic systems that truly value what makes people’s lives better. Te Hiko is our koha to this kaupapa.

    • Wellington City Rural Fire Force
      • The Wellington Regional Council formed the WCRFF in 1993. Originally the Force shared residence with the Wellington Free Ambulance at Newtown. The Force moved to its’ own station in Burma Road Johnsonville, in December 1999 and stayed there for 3 ½ years. As the crew numbers increased and the purchase of the tanker the Wellington City Council moved our location to Tawa Depot on the 12th July 2003. Our current station gives us the opportunity to increase our crew numbers to our desired benchmark of 30 as well as housing our entire fleet, which currently consists of 6 vehicles, 4 trailers and a Communication Caravan.
