- Celebrating artists, encouraging connectivity, reflecting on Pablos’ 30 years and raising money for its daily operations are the aims of Pablos Art Studios' auction on 6 November at Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa National Library of New Zealand in Wellington. Anastasija Bubanja, Manager of Pablos Art Studio, says the popular annual Pablos Art Auction is a meaningful way to remind us how vital creativity and the community are for our mental wellbeing.

Pablos Art Auction 2024 is a GO!
- Pablos Art Studios
- Pablos Art Studio is all on again this year for their annual art auction, a mainstay on Wellington's creative events calendar. This year sees Pablos partnering up with the Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa National Library again to hold the auction in their amazing foyer on Wednesday November 06. This fundraising event provides the studio with much needed money to keep them operating and serving marginalised communities within the Wellington area throughout the year. With well over a 100 works up for auction from artists all over the Mōtu it promises to be a fun filled evening full of excitement with something to suit everyone.

A feeling of home at Pablos Art Studios
- Pablos Art Studios
- Creating a community and a home for artists is what makes Pablos Art Studios a vital part of Wellington, says its manager, Anastasija Bubanja. It’s all about supporting and empowering everyone who comes into the space. Last year, Pablos Art Studios moved from its home in Tory Street to Vivian Street. Looking for a new space that artists could call home was challenging because of a shortage of affordable, commercial spaces in the inner city and earthquake safety regulations.

- Reece Tong has been attending Pablos Art Studios for 14 years and has work in Connecting the Past, an exhibition celebrating 30 years of Pablos – on display now at the front of the studio at 45 Vivian St in Wellington. As Reece says, “I've seen Pablos, our artists and the public interest in Pablos grow. I want people to know that our art is here, why we come here and what it is we do.”
