P2 Men Vs Harbour City 07/07/07 Drew 1 - 1
- Upper Hutt Hockey Club
- The upper hutt P2 mens team got thier first competion point on the weekend with a Draw against Harbour city Tawa. Probably due to several late changes to the draw no referees were present and Both teams provided a referee each. This was a very unfair situation for these people to have been put into and for thier efforts we owe them alot of thanks. It was not a particularly nice game for them to have had to umpire with moments of conflict, A certain player was a bit confrontational and will be starting the fine system off by putting $20 in the swear jar.

Memorial Park
- Architectural Centre Inc
- The Prime Minister has announced today that the Memorial Park is to be a Park, and not a motorway. Hooray for common sense, good taste, sensible planning, appropriate responses, and joined up thinking. There has evidently been a fair bit of quiet contemplative thought going on with this proposal, and what seems to have been happening is some good cross-party agreements, that what is best for New Zealand is to have a Memorial Park worthy of its name. No one liked the proposal of a motorway through the park, which is what a five lane highway at ground level would have been – and so good sense has prevailed.

Decision 6 - Funding the Central Library rebuild | Kōrero mai | Wellington City Council
- Wellington City Council
- Wellington’s much-loved Central Library was closed in March 2019 following an engineering assessment saying that the way the floor was designed presented a high level of potential failure in a significant earthquake. It has a similar floor design to one used in the now demolished Statistics House, where a floor collapsed in the Kaikoura earthquakes. In 2020, we ran a six-week consultation in which we asked for public feedback on five options for restoring a Central Library service in Te Ngākau Civic Square. The options all considered the resilience of the building, future proofing the library service, the connection to Te Ngākau, and the overall costs.

Review: After the Storm
- Salient
- Emma Salzano's After the Storm was originally a project created at Te Auaha, then went through a development season as a Lift-Off piece, and now it's making its world premiere at the New Zealand Fringe Festival. And let me tell you, I'm thrilled that it's back. It's been quite some time since I've seen a play that has genuinely touched me. And I don't say this to be disrespectful, but perhaps to acknowledge my own desensitisation towards such things. After the Storm changed that. Maybe I'm just a sucker for a good love story. But this play is more than just a romance; at its core, it's about grief and how our emotions shape our lives. The story takes place in the 1930s and follows a group of Italian immigrants who leave their volcanic island of Stromboli and start anew on the shores of Island Bay.

A City for People
- Decades of inaction have meant house prices are out of control, while old rental properties rot out from underneath us. A whole generation of people are at risk of being forced out from the central city into new suburbs sprawling north, spending hours every day in traffic jams. We believe the Spatial Plan will allow Wellington to plan for the future so that new generations of Wellingtonians can share the city we love, and have a chance to live in a home that is affordable, accessible, healthy and warm.
