9B Cricket Team Wins Final
- St Patricks College, Silverstream
- Saturday 10 December 2011: A fine season was topped off when the Stream 9B Cricket Team played Wellington College 4, at Wellington College, in the Finals of the Junior 3 Grade. In a close fought match, Silverstream batted first to post a commendable 111/9. Wellington College chased hard but were eventually 110 all out, giving Stream a one run victory.

Leading Pearce Cup teams on back foot on opening day of third round

- The opening day’s play of Round Three of the Wilkinson Pearce Cup saw the top three sides on the back foot in their matches. Leaders Eastern Suburbs were 113 for 4 in reply to Onslow’s first innings score of 278. Karori were 39 for 3 after Wellington Collegians made 236, while Taita were 53 for 1 in reply to University’s 305.

Law Library Open
- Victoria University Library
- After a tremendous effort over the weekend from staff and students the Law Library is operational once more and all books have been reshelved. Levels 1 and 2 are completely open for business today. Level 3 is shut for minor repair to shelving units but staff can retrieve books from this level. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Law Library.

- Auditions for Kapiti Playhouse’s first production of 2013, David Williamson’s Brilliant Lies will be held on Monday 21st January from 2.30pm at the Kapiti Playhouse Theatre. Metlink commits to wage increase and shift redesign for Tranzurban drivers
- Metlink
- From December 1 Metlink will be increasing Tranzurban driver wages to $27 an hour as part of its commitment to retain and attract drivers across the region. The move will take Tranzurban drivers up to a flat rate of $27 an hour, with Wellington drivers seeing around a $3 an hour increase, Hutt Valley drivers $3.80 and Wairarapa drivers $4.25.

The track will be two-way and is designed to be grade 5 techical downhill and a grade 5-6 technical uphill. The track will contain between 16 and 18 manmade and natural obstacles along the way. - Plush installation exhibition at Thistle hall by Antoinette Ratcliffe 16 November 2010 – 20 November 2010 Open 11 – 5.30pm Monday to Friday 11-4pm Saturday At last, someone was able to help the slashed up and dying bear, Morris. The bunnies Sugar and Sadie had been unsuccessful with their first aid kit in previous installations, but Duke the zombie Dachshound has transformed Morris into a zombie bear. They keep each other company, but Morris is still having trouble training Duke to be abit more civilized.

Wellington Tenths Trust
- The Wellington Tenths Trust is an Ahu Whenua trust constituted by the Māori Land Court Order of 16 December 2003, pursuant to Sec 244 of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993 which varied the original Trust Deed of 1977 and the subsequent variation of Deed made on 17 July 1996. The Trust was established to administer Māori Reserve lands, largely in urban Wellington, although it also administers a rural block in Kaitoke, Upper Hutt. The Trust owns a total of 81 hectares of land.

- The Wellington Film Society (WFS) is a non-profit incorporated society and registered charitable organisation. We have been screening films in Wellington for over 75 years and were one of the founding members of the New Zealand Federation of Film Societies (NZIFF), New Zealand’s only alternative non-profit network of film exhibitors. Film Society membership is open to everyone and there are subscription options from a 3-Film sampler to a 12-month membership.

Wellington City Rural Fire Force
- The Wellington Regional Council formed the WCRFF in 1993. Originally the Force shared residence with the Wellington Free Ambulance at Newtown. The Force moved to its’ own station in Burma Road Johnsonville, in December 1999 and stayed there for 3 ½ years. As the crew numbers increased and the purchase of the tanker the Wellington City Council moved our location to Tawa Depot on the 12th July 2003. Our current station gives us the opportunity to increase our crew numbers to our desired benchmark of 30 as well as housing our entire fleet, which currently consists of 6 vehicles, 4 trailers and a Communication Caravan.
