Mixed corporate 8 race on the Whanganui All the rowers got four solid training sessions and some racing in. Not including a couple of impromptu swims, and a freak karaoke accident, everyone made it home in one piece. Thanks again to all the coaches who gave up their weekend.

The final team of 2 pulled into the base at the end of Bulls Run Road three and a half hours late - battered but unbowed.

While the ground floors of Sites 8, 9 and 10 have been designated simply as "retail", I think that Site 10 should be explicitly set aside as an indoor sports facility to replace Sheds 1 and 6.

      • It’s quite simple: we aim to restore ecological health to the Miramar Peninsula. More specifically, we’d like to see every household on the peninsula include 25 % or more of local native plants. We practises eco-sourcing to maintain the distinctiveness of local flora. By boosting rare plant life and controlling introduced mammalians we can bring nature in to our urban community, raising property values and fostering a sense of identity and well-being.
