Kent sets new SW open record for 200m Fly
- Swimming Wellington
- Steven Kent (19, Swim City Aquatics) set a new Wellington open record for Mens 200m Butterfly at Session 5 of the SW Short Course Championships in Kilbirnie this morning. Kent’s time 0f 2mins 01.28secs was over a second and a half faster than the previous record held by Raumati’s Brett Newall.

- Arrived about 5pm; noone else there; configured my electric glider and launched. One climb into lift and flew around for the next 45 minutes. So much lift around. That all changed when the wind shifted around to the south. A few of the other guys turned up around 5:45pm.

Bus corridors, paying for Park and Ride and pets on public transport up for consultation in Wellington plan
- Greater Wellington Regional Council
- New regional bus corridors, paying for parking at train station Park and Rides, and pets on public transport are among public consultation topics in the draft Wellington Regional Public Transport Plan 2025-2035. Feedback is also being sought on cash free buses and the redevelopment of Waterloo Station into a transport hub with commercial and community spaces. Greater Wellington chair Daran Ponter says the plan proposes affordable investments that improve the passenger experience and encourage people away from using private vehicles.
