Lots of local artisan fare for aficionados

- The City Market to be located on Chaffer’s Dock Function Centre is a new weekly wine and food celebration, showcasing local artisan products and their producers. The project is being championed by award-winning chef Martin Bosley and Rachel Taulelei of local food company Yellow Brick Road. Edwards and Wilson Take 6th Safari, 17 May 09
- Bill Edwards and Tim Wilson took advantage of the absence of last year's winners to regain their 6-hour Safari title, in spite of a determined challenge from Australian rogaine guru David Rowlands with local orienteer Jamie Stewart, and two other teams with world championship credentials. The two teams were equal on points until a check revealed some controls overlooked.

Intersection of Impending Death
- The Wellingtonista
- So, the John St/Riddiford St/Adelaide Rd intersection has undergone a bit of a lights phasing tweak. It took this particular Wellingtonista by surprise when, last week, I confidently started to cross John St as the lights turned to red, only to discover that instead of my little green man, I was now the target for traffic coming down from Adelaide Rd.
