- Operation Details Date/Time: Sun, 27/12/2020 - 18:00 - 20:45 Operation Type: CG Operation (good samaritan) People Assisted: 0 Total Volunteer Hours: 11 A small launch on the pole moorings broke its stern line and drifted around on its bow line and wedged itself between the pole and the yacht moored in front of it. We were asked by the pole mooring manager to assist with getting it back on its mooring so that it didn't damage the yacht. MR1 was used to push it around and secure it back in place. Also assisted the Mana Marina manager to recover the turning bouys from outside the entrance that had broken away. - Operation Details Date/Time: Sat, 26/12/2020 - 09:10 - 16:00 Operation Type: SAROP Cat 1 People Assisted: 2 Total Volunteer Hours: 75 A 15m yacht broke its rudder approximately 2NM west of Mana Island whilst crossing to the South Island. MR1 was tasked by Police to tow them home. By the time we got to them the wind had got up to 25-35kts and they had drifted 7NM west of Mana Island. We towed them back in challenging conditions and put them at anchor just outside the Mana bar, as they were unable to cross it at low tide.
