Wellington Masters Association: 8k Road Run, 6.4k Road Walk
- Wellington Scottish Athletics Club
- Under beautiful, spring-like conditions, this was the 22nd staging of this event, each with Olympic's Brian Watson as race director. Numbers were up this year. Ellis Goodyear (Capital Harriers) set an age-group record (M75) and thereby won the Jim Lockhart and Mariette Hewitson Memorial Baton for 2006.

- In their infinite wisdom, the marvellous folk at Wellington City Council have decided to give us some gravel for Koru. It will be flown in by helicopter half a cubic metre at a time to various drop sites on Koru. How can you help? We need volunteers on the day.
