Weekly Report for Sunday Aug 28

- Hi Everyone A remarkable dearth of information to disseminate this week. Bus Run Tony C has been told that all bus drivers and buses will be 'on call' during the World Cup (that's Rugby for anyone that has been in isolation for the past year). Consequently, the proposed 'Bus Run' listed as Oct 16 on the Year Plan has been transferred as in the following message from Vice President Jillian

Frocks on Bikes: Be seen in style!
- Cycling in Wellington
- Dear Frockstars As the Welly weather gets (gradually) better we’re more keen to get out and about on two wheels, rocking our styley scarves, coats, boots and gloves. Alas, it’s still dark enough in the mornings and evenings that we’re pretty damn hard to see on the roads – and Wellington’s drivers drive as if we’re not there even in broad daylight! But high-visibility gear? [eye roll] Do we have to?! Lucky for you, Frocks has the answer: Be Seen In Style!

Bus drivers, cyclists swap points of view
- Newswire.co.nz
- CRAIG Bush now knows what it’s like to have a 12-tonne bus bearing down on him on the road. He’s usually the one driving the bus, but in a road-awareness workshop in Kilbirnie he got to swap the safety of his driver’s seat for a cycle saddle. “I am used to having my rear vision mirrors,” he says. “Not being able to see cars until they were right behind me was intimidating.”
