      • Today, folks, a terrific Take 5 selection from one of our absolute faves, Tamaki Makaurau pop-rockers The Beths!! Having had their world domination plans in 2020 cruelly curtailed by that pesky pandemic, they instead doubled down with an extended tour of Aotearoa, including no less than FIVE Wellington performances in three days, along with their emotional homecoming at the Auckland Town Hall, now captured on their soon-come live double LP "Auckland, New Zealand 2020), which we should have in stock just as soon as our biggest city makes it out of Level 4 lockdown...1- The B-52's "Love Shack" (Live at The Pavillion, the Woodlands, TX 1990)2- Momma "Double Dare"3- fanclubwallet "Car Crash in G Major"4- Kathy McCord "I'm Leaving Home (She's Leaving Home)"5- Willie Griffin "I Love You"Thank you, Beths - superb!!

    • Willowbank Quarry - Judgeford
      • As you may be aware a rock quarry was set up to help with building the Transmission Gully motorway from an entry and exit off SH58 near the Judgeford Kennels. Porirua City Council granted consent for this specific purpose for a finite timeframe (to the end of December 2020 at the latest). Critically, it was agreed that the environmental impacts would be remediated upon completion of the rock extraction.

    • In Relation: Performance Works 1979–1985
      • This exhibition is the first focused examination of the performance works of artist-couple Peter Roche (1957–2020) & Linda Buis (1954–2015), who worked together between 1979 and 1985. Drawing on the surviving archive of photographs, film and video footage, drawings, texts, artist-publications, and published and unpublished commentary, the exhibition re-examines their challenging durational live performances which physically and psychologically tested both the artists and their audiences.

    • The Club Kit Store is open for a limited time. Don't miss out.
      • Howdy folks And the Kit shop is OPEN with 3 new items;  Club Socks Club Undershirt Club Cap Plus all the awesome items we've had before, and Tineli have kindly honoured last year's pricing NOTE -  Please place and pay for your order by: 11/03/2020 11:59 pm The order will be produced and shipped by: 8/05/2020 It's almost time to think about your winter requirements too, and if you haven't already bought a winter jersey, we can highly recommend these for keeping you snug (but not sweaty) through the months ahead.   It's great to see us out there wearing our Club kit. It really stands out, keeping us safer on the roads.     We don't open the kit shop very often - as we have to hit certain sales marks to make it viable.  Generally, it's once a year - so take that into account when making your choices and put your best foot forward :)

    • Back to the (museum) future
      • Confused? Te Papa is short of money, with a deficit reported as being $8m. Yet the government is investigating the idea of creating a second national museum in Wellington. The DomPost reports this morning that a feasibility study accepted by Cabinet in July has resulted in a business case being prepared for a National War Memorial Museum that could be open by 2020 in the old Dominion Museum building that’s now controlled by Massey University.

    • Babybel
      • Babybel is a femme three-piece band, making grungey shoe-gaze alt-rock. Birthed from the brain of George Banach-Salas, we started out as a two-piece, after Sam & George met at Girls Rock! Pōneke 2019 and had a big nerd out about music and a need for a music outlet. When we decided we needed a bigger sound, Shannen joined as our bass queen in 2020 and thus solidified the dream team that is Babybel.
