Suzanne Aubert – a New Zealand adventure

- When a young Suzanne Aubert left her home in France in 1860 to join a mission on the other side of the world, she began a New Zealand adventure that would last for 66 years. Her influence on nursing, looking after mothers and babies and people here in Wellington continues to this day as she was instrumental in setting up the Home of Compassion in Island Bay.

Points Table for Race 4 - Final - Tineli Winter Series
- Kapiti Cycling Club
- The finale in the 2021 series (the first for 2 years - Covid dealt to 2020) was a windy affair, but at least it was dry - credit to Kapiti Coast winters for 4 fine Saturdays in a row (we won't talk about the first one!) The strong westerly wind certainly made it interesting - lots of tactics required (and used!) and the bunches broke up in every grade.

WBL: Results Round Four
- The Wellingtonista
- So tonight I messed up with giving people their lane assignments, which probably means that it's possible that ClickSuite might have thought that they'd won their round, and Clemenger might have thought that they'd lost theirs (oh who are we kidding, Clemenger would never think that, and that's why we love them), but as it turns out, it was Bowltron who were the winners on the night.

PHOTOS: Riverblind
- Wellington Live Music
- Some of the crowd at ValveSolid rock with an almost operatic vocal style is how I would attempt to describe Riverblind in one sentence. Lead singer/guitarist Dave Kempton has an incredibly powerful, smooth and melodic voice. Backed up with solid drums from Tim Whitta, and Dan Simpson throwing himself around the stage with his 6 string bass, these guys are a surprisingly powerful live act.

BNU 1sts v Kapiti Coast United - 15th June 2013
- Brooklyn Northern United AFC
- Another week and another must win game as we travelled to Kapiti for what we knew would be a tough encounter. The boys had looked tired in training during the week and with Kapiti having lost their last 3 games, we knew they would be desperate to find some form. The warm up did nothing to ease my concerns, as we looked a bit off the pace.
