Basin Pavilion and Spine Study
- Eye of the Fish
- I did have a small post scheduled for tomorrow morning, but the release of both of these today sort of takes precedence! It never rains, but it pours! Seems kind of appropriate, considering the weather we have been having lately. So: seeing as the Basin Reserve “mitigation” study / blatant bribe to the Reserve Trust has been released, and the Passenger Transport Spine study, and the material for the EPA from NZTA have all been released today (there is no coincidence here, it’s all been carefully planned out), and that’s just al too much for me to post on – I thought I’d just throw it open for you to comment on.

Take 5!! #19
- Slow Boat Records
- With apologies for a bit of a lay-off, and, indeed, to today's selector (thanks for the reminder, ahem!), we bring you the latest instalment of Take 5!!Today it is the turn of superlative Wellington-based composer and instrumentalist, Mr Rhian Sheehan, who here serves us up an eclectic mix of what is making his wheels spin - thankyou, sir!!1- Steve Reich "Music For 18 Musicians Section IIIA"2- Jon Hopkins "Open Eye Signal"3- Vangelis "Blade Runner" 4- The Mutton Birds "Envy Of Angels"5- Eliot Sumner "After Dark" Certainly a pleasingly 'cinematic' nature to Rhian's selections, for which we are - most grateful! Enjoy!!

The Public needs a real choice: Option X
- Architectural Centre Inc
- The NZTA have proposed options for redeveloping the roading of the Basin Reserve. But these are not really options. They are two schemes for flyovers which have very little difference. We believe that the scheme/s proposed by NZTA exclude the public from making a real choice.

A City for People
- Decades of inaction have meant house prices are out of control, while old rental properties rot out from underneath us. A whole generation of people are at risk of being forced out from the central city into new suburbs sprawling north, spending hours every day in traffic jams. We believe the Spatial Plan will allow Wellington to plan for the future so that new generations of Wellingtonians can share the city we love, and have a chance to live in a home that is affordable, accessible, healthy and warm.

Titahi Bay Residents Association
- The Titahi Bay Residents Association (TBRA) was formed in 1995 by local residents keen to support their community and promote its seaside village and beautiful beach for the benefit of the wider community. One of our first missions was to gain official recognition for the unique layout of the beach with boat sheds, tractors for boat launching at each end, and therefore a need for special rules for vehicles.
