A City for People

The Great Hoax
- "The Great Hoax" is made up of SIKNIK{www.myspace.com/musicsiknik} on Vocals/keys and Chris Nowland on guitar. Vocalist, keys, and guitarist Nick Swanson has been around the NZ music scene for a number of years, under the artist name “SIKNIK”, and in 2007, released “The Beats in your Brain ep”, scoring himself an interview and feature on UPFM’s “Beat Dungeon” and landed himself on “Beat dungeons” compilation “sonic confinement, aswell getting radio play across the country, mainly on student/youth orientated stations. Lead Guitarist Chris Nowland has also been around the wellington scene for a number of years, performing in various café and bars across the city!, Chris’s main focus of guitar to this point has been guitar solos and ballads, and ads something unique to “The Great Hoax”. Earlier on in the year, the two decided to team up together to make music and play covers of artists the both enjoyed, the first of tributes is of Leonard cohen’s music, to debut to “The Welsh Dragon” on NOV the 27th. The two also plays their own original songs around the place, and are open to any sort of gigs. “our music, is quite versatile, I mean we can play acoustic versions to our songs, or electro, or with a full band”, genres and styles range from folk acoustic, electronic dance/psychedic, and rock. “We play live around wellington, and are currently working on a debut CD
