2016
- Kilbirnie Community Festival
- The Kilbirnie Community Festival will be back again in March 2016, bigger and brighter and involving more of the community. This will again be a festival celebrating the local Kilbirnie community and spirit. Local groups, artists and businesses are welcome to participate and profile themselves to the community. We have extended the time of the festival to be able to show some films on the street later in the evening. Watch out for details.

Well Done
- Kilbirnie Community Festival
- The festival for 2015 is all done. Great weather, great stalls and great people all came together and created a great atmosphere. It was a relaxed and friendly day with a good community feel. Thanks for all those who helped out and those who took a chance in coming to a reinvented event. It was great to have extra stalls turn up on the morning during setup - although made it hard to find spots for everyone. Any comments are welcome on how to make it better next year and help us to learn how to run things even better.

Kilbirnie Community Festival
- Kilbirnie Community Festival
- The word community has been added to the title of the festival to better reflect its purpose and aims. We want this festival to be for the community to enjoy and for the community to share talents and abilities.

2 Kilbirnie festivals?
- Kilbirnie Community Festival
- Advertising has gone up for a Kilbirnie festival at St Pats. This is a commercial enterprise by Martin Wilson of Capital Productions and not a local community festival. Following the change of management and focus for the Bay Road Kilbirnie Festival due to the lack of local connection, this new festival has been set up to continue the type of festival we have previously experienced - a conglomeration of travelling stalls. Obviously the Kilbirnie name means nothing other than a location. The NEW Kilbirnie Festival is on on 1st March on Bay Road. This is a true local community festival and details can be found elsewhere on the website.

A New Kilbirnie Festival
- Kilbirnie Community Festival
- 2015 sees a new beginning for the Kilbirnie Festival. This year the Kilbirnie Business Network Inc and the Kilbirnie/Lyall Bay Community Centre Inc are running the festival. The goal is to make the festival a celebration of the local community and its facilities. Kilbirnie has many talented people and enterprises. There are also some of the major sporting assests of Wellington located on our back door. The festival will be an opportunity for people to display their creative talents through an art display and a music stage. There will also be the usual craft type stalls but with stallholders being locals. Of course food will be provided through again local community group stalls. One of the features of the festival will be the demostrations of sports and a 'have a go' area where people can try out a sport on Bay Road. Local shops will also be encouraged to be part of the activity offering special deals or promotions. Another unique feature will be sponsor of a local charity. It will be a great day for all the family to enjoy and learn more about their community.
