Old Boy, Father Tony O'Connor, visits from Venezuela

- Thursday 25 February 2010: Stream Head Boy in 1967, Father Tony O'Connor, talked today to students about his life and work in Peru and, most recently, Venezuela over the last 30 years. With photos of the school he runs outside of Caracas, he spoke of the daily life of students in a shanty town.

Foodbank Goes Green
- Downtown Community Ministry
- Last year it was the Bookfair and now it’s the Foodbank’s turn to use fully recyclable bags. Downtown Community Ministry’s Foodbank has started using entirely eco friendly bags to package food parcels and frozen bread.

Inter-House Swimming - The Senior Part

Ash Wednesday services mark start of Lent

- Wednesday 17 February 2010: To mark the start of the Lentern season, Ash Wednesday services were held separately for junior and senior students. Led by senior students, the services included reflections and readings around the meaning of Lent. Each student came forward to receive an ash cross on their forehead as a reminder of this time in Christ's life.

Rumour: five options for the Basin, consultation starts 22 February

- Rumours are flying that the NZ Transport Agency will begin consultation on the options for the Basin Reserve on Monday 22 February, and that five options will be presented - three involve building an unnecessary flyover, and two are "at grade", i.e. ground level without a flyover. Consultation will run for six weeks.
