House Rugby 2010

- Friday 24 September 2010: School may have finished for the term but the House Rugby Final was still fought out in front of a small but vocal crowd. After a slow start Chanel stepped up in the second half to eventually win 25-15 over Patrick. Earlier in the week, third and fourth places were contested, with Marist narrowly beating Trinity.

- Students from Crofton Downs Primary School thought the “welcome to Crofton Downs” signs were rather tatty. They came up with a new design and took their ideas to Wellington City Council. Council liked what they saw and put the children’s ideas into action. They put a row of flags along Churchill Drive and replaced the existing signs. New signs for Crofton Downs

- Samaritans, a non-religious organistion, offers a vital confidential and non-judgmental listening and support telephone service operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Samaritans volunteers are everyday people who range in age from 20 to 80. Wellington Samaritans has been operating since 1965. They have over 80 volunteers and take over 20,000 calls per year. We are seeking people who are good listeners, caring and empathetic, to help operate our 24 hours helpline. We provide full training and on-going support.
