Farewell to Andrew Savage, Deputy Principal On Tuesday, we farewelled Andrew Savage who has been one of our Deputy Principals since 2012. Andrew leaves WHS to take up a post at the Teaching Council and their gain is most certainly WHS’s loss. Summer sports and some winter sport pre-season practices start next week.       • Athfield Architects have scooped the waterfront prize-pool, with a clean sweep win of all the sites covered in the Kumutoto North competition. Well done indeed to Ath and his merry band of cliffside dwellers. Wellington Waterfront also deservers kudos for having running a competition in the first place, and for sneaking out the press release a mere 5 months after the competition was held.

    • Dale Lang selected for the NZ Black Jacks
      • Dale Lang is now a member of the NZ Black Jacks Womens' Team. Dale has been selected to represent New Zealand in the Asia Pacific tournament being played in Malaysia during August. Within this 5-person team, Dale is playing 2 in the Triples & 3 in the Fours. The wider NZ squad of 9 also includes Kaaren Guildford from Johnsonville and Clare McCaul from Silverstream.

You will be able to view the Quartz Hill facilities. This may be your last chance to see this fabulous facility in its current form as it is likely that we will have to dismantle antenna infrastructure over the coming year (to make way for the wind farm project).
