Commodore Peter Vause held a brieifng for invited guests on the club's statement of intent for the period 2009 to 2015 while members enjoyed lunch provided by Louise and her wardroom team.

Ope Donates NZ Secondary School's Jersey
- St Patricks College, Silverstream
- 20 October 2009: At Tuesday's assembly, Ope Peleseuma presented his NZ School Boys' Rugby Team jersey to the school. After playing for the team this season in Australia against various sides, including a very tough game against the Australian School Boys' side, Ope presented the jersey to be framed and hung in the Sports Pavilion.

Board Director Resigns

Mason has growing commitments in his role as Chief Financial Accountant for the Ports of Nelson along with requirements to undertake further Post Graduate study in 2009. Senior House Rugby Kicks Off

- Monday 14 September 2009: The Senior House Rugby Competition kicked offtoday with matches between Marist and Chanel, and Patrick and Trinity. Open running games produced entertaining rugby with Chanel and Patrick winners in the first round. The competition continues all week. A sausage sizzle was held by Young Vinnies as a fundraiser for their 2010 Mission to Samoa.

Blood Flows at Stream

- Thursday 20 August 2009: More than 70 Streamers donated blood this morning when the NZ Blood Donor Service visited. Being in the age group (17-30) that most uses the blood collected, it was great to see so many boys donating. In fact, there were too many volunteers to be catered for in the time allowed.

Campers motor on in

- 23-26 October 2009: Stream was over-run during Labour Weekend as two hundred motor homes from the lower North Island attended a rally. Organised by the local branch of the New Zealand Motor Caravan Association (www.nzmca.org.nz) the campers spread out across the Number 2 Rugby field, enjoying the facilties that Stream, and the local community, has to offer.

New Artwork in the Kelburn Library

- A new artwork has been installed in Level 1 of the Kelburn Library. Several attentions (2009) by Ruth Buchanan is a looped video installation, running for 20 mins 02 seconds. Buchanan, a New Zealand born, Berlin based artist explores her relationship with the artist Virginia Woolf and seeks to articulate the ways in which life and art mix.

Wellington City Rural Fire Force
- The Wellington Regional Council formed the WCRFF in 1993. Originally the Force shared residence with the Wellington Free Ambulance at Newtown. The Force moved to its’ own station in Burma Road Johnsonville, in December 1999 and stayed there for 3 ½ years. As the crew numbers increased and the purchase of the tanker the Wellington City Council moved our location to Tawa Depot on the 12th July 2003. Our current station gives us the opportunity to increase our crew numbers to our desired benchmark of 30 as well as housing our entire fleet, which currently consists of 6 vehicles, 4 trailers and a Communication Caravan.
