- The South Wellington Seido Karate Club held a Charity Quiz Night on Friday 2nd May raising funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Wellington Children's Hospital. It was a great night with lots of spot prizes, a charity auction and of course a great Quiz hosted by Grant Nisbett.

Appeal Raises Funds for Kids Like Ashlee
- Wellington Children's Hospital
- Ashlee is a bright bubbly 2 year old who loves Dora the Explorer. Sadly, Ashlee also has Cystic Fybrosis. The 2013 Countdown Kids Hospital Appeal is underway again now and funds raised will provide Children's Hospitals throughout New Zealand with much needed medical and surgical equipment. As part of Ashlee's treatment she uses an oxygen machine to help her breathe, which was funded by the Appeal in previous years.

- The donation box for Wellington Children's Hospital in the Atrium of Wellington Hospital was broken into in the middle of the night. The thieves got away with a large amount of donated cash, that would have gone towards projects for sick kids. The police are investigating.

- Cullen Tran is an amazing 9 year old. He chose to fundraise for Wellington Children's Hospital and has raised $300. His mum, Thuy, believes its important to teach her kids to have a heart for giving, and to realise how fortunate they are living here in New Zealand.
