    • About WCPA
      • Becoming a member of the WCPA means that you will be affiliated to Central Canoe Polo Association (CCPA) who are the umbrella group for all clubs in the Central region. It includes Palmerston North, Wairarapa, Levin, Otaki. As a member of WCPA you are also affiliated to the New Zealand body, NZCPA. This gives you the ability to partake in many competitions in NZ and trial for the National Teams. WCPA has a couple of different opportunities to get involved in Canoe Polo in the Wellington region. We run social leagues on a Monday night at Kilbirnie pool throughout the year. For schools players we run a Learn to Play program in Term 1, a interschool league in Term 2 and train a representative squad in Term 3. We also host an U18 competition at the end of Term 3 which attracts teams from all over the country. Affiliation to WCPA costs $45 for adults and $35 for high school students. We take cash, cheque made out to Wellington Canoe Polo Association and internet banking, account number 02-0500-0855005-000 (include team and name and league in reference).
