EAGLES FINISH SEASON WITH A GOOD WIN
- Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club
- The Eagles finished on a high note with a well deserved 37-21 over Wellington in front of their supporters at the Hutt Rec. Following a frustrating Jubilee Cup round it was good to see the team deliver a result on the right side of the ledger and score some stunning tries in the process.

CLOSE BUT NO CIGAR FOR EAGLES
- Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club
- In a hard fought match, it was a case of close but no cigar once again for HOBM, who went down 18-15 to Wainuiomata at William Jones Park in an entertaining game of football where defence was big and both teams were willing to play open running rugby. By Mark Dolan (former Hutt and Wainui player)

HOBM vs Ories
- Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club
- As Sean Fitzpatrick was fond of saying, this was a game of two halves. The last month has been a tough watch for Eagles Supporters, as our team has struggled to get any traction going in the Jubilee Cup Round. By Dave Rose

EAGLES vs MSP
- Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club
- The disastrous start to the Jubilee Cup campaign continued with the teams third loss in a row with only 3 bonus points to show for their efforts. In recent years it has been rare for a team to win both the Swindale Shield and the Jubilee Cup in the same season. By John Persico

OBU BEAT EAGLES AT HOME
- Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club
- The Eagles chances of defending the Jubilee Cup took another blow as they went down to OBU at the Hutt rec. Despite leading at half time 17-16 in to the wind, the HOBM Premiers couldn’t score any points in the second half and lost 28-17.

- Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club
- The Eagles went down to an elated Petone side 34-28 in the first round of the Jubilee Cup at the Petone Rec. Leading 28-27 with 6 minutes to go and hot attack, the Eagles turned over possession and Petone broke out from 80 metres with their right winger creating the match winning converted try.

SWINDALE SHIELD CHAMPIONS!
- Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club
- Despite going down 19-12 to Ories. the Eagles can still reflect back on what they’ve accomplished and celebrate securing the Swindale Shield – well done. Saturday was a tough day at the office as the Eagles came across a passionate and uncompromising Ories side that defended resolutely, and played with heart and passion.

EAGLES SOAR IN RISDON’S 200th
- Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club
- With the game seemingly sewn up with 6 minutes to play, the Eagles had to dig deep to hold off a strong finishing Tawa in Nick Ridon’s 200th premier game for the club. HOBM were up 28-10 but Tawa scored two quick tries in succession and looked set to steal the game right on fulltime with a third before a sensational, match winning tackle from centre Tomasi Alosio bundled Tawa’s winger in to touch, just short of the corner flag.

EAGLES WELL BEATEN IN OLD TIMERS DAY LOSS
- Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club
- The Eagles 20 game winning streak came crashing to earth on old timers dayat Hutt Rec yesterday at the hands of a Poneke side which came with their Agame and which out-thought, out-muscled and out-passioned the home sidewhich looked for much of the game certainly not worthy of the tag potentialSwindale Shield winners.

EAGLES TRIUMPH IN HIGH SCORING MATCH
- Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club
- I have said for many years now that you get great value for money being an Eagles supporter & this Saturday passed was no exception. You would think that if your side can score 49 points on any given Saturday your team would walk off the pitch the winner ! This preconception along with a few other records would be broken as HOBM beat MSP 54-49 on Anzac Saturday at the Hutt Rec. By Kev Melville

BACK WHERE IT BELONGS
- Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club
- On the back of 4 wins HOBM were tipped by some to be the favourites for this famous derby fixture. Coming off an indifferent start to the Swindale Shield , Petone came into the match with a 2 from 4 record. But ask any HOBM or Petone supporter and past performances count for little in this clash. It is the ‘Bledisloe Cup’ game of the season with huge bragging rights at stake. The team that wants it the most will come through.

EAGLES TOO STRONG FOR UPPER HUTT
- Hutt Old Boys Marist Rugby Club
- Hutt Old Boys Marist premiers put on a dominant display to beat previously undefeated Upper Hutt 38-25 in an entertaining and open game at Maidstone park. The result was achieved in spite of losing Chaise Tiatia, who had to withdraw due to food poisoning, and Ope Paleseuma who pulled a hamstrung early on. This highlights the good depth in the squad. Steven Bruce
