A BOUQUET FOR KATHERINE MANSFIELD
- Katherine Mansfield House
- It's Spring and despite slashing southerlies, flowers are everywhere. Katherine Mansfield once declared that if she only had sixpence left for a meal, a bunch of violets for the table would come first. Her love of flowers and the natural world runs through all her work, both published short stories and her diaries and journals.

Review: Concept for a Film
- The Wellingtonista
- A Beautiful Harmony of Theatre, Music and So Mush Spore. I loved the novel format of storytelling that ‘Concept for a Film’ delivered. A New Farm for Ohariu
- Eye of the Fish
- It has been confirmed that Meridian Energy plans to build a new wind farm in the Ohariu Valley, with 31 turbines across 4000 hectares. The proposed site is owned by 5 farmers, who banded together in 2002 to negotiate proposals with various energy companies. Talks had stalled over price issues in 2003, but recently an agreement has been reached. Having met with the community last night, it is unclear whether the project will face significant opposition from the local residents.

Pay for play is here

A City for People
- Decades of inaction have meant house prices are out of control, while old rental properties rot out from underneath us. A whole generation of people are at risk of being forced out from the central city into new suburbs sprawling north, spending hours every day in traffic jams. We believe the Spatial Plan will allow Wellington to plan for the future so that new generations of Wellingtonians can share the city we love, and have a chance to live in a home that is affordable, accessible, healthy and warm.
