Vessel located and towed to mooring behind Mana Island. Moored off and mechanic taken on board the following morning of 29/12. Engine successfully started. No further support required. Actual time (5 hrs) was split across two days, but is reported as a single block here. - Operation Details Date/Time: Sat, 18/10/2014 - 10:15 - 14:15 Operation Type: Other People Assisted: 0 Total Volunteer Hours: 24 On Saturday members ofthe coastguard crew carried out a number of small support opoerations, 1: Its water safety week and the harbour ranger and police teams with help from coastguard mana were providing advice on water safety. In particular our new crew man Steve was helping with the testing of lifejackets on the breastworks at the Mana Cruising Club, something in the region of 100 plus lifejackets were tested to confirm that they were buoyant and safe to use. - Operation Details Date/Time: Wed, 26/08/2020 - 18:15 - 22:00 Operation Type: SAROP Cat 1 People Assisted: 6 Total Volunteer Hours: 22 Reports of waka capsized 800m off shore from Shell (near Goat Pt) and 6 people in the water. 2 other waka in the vicinity trying to assist. Police activated us and we launched MR2. Nothing found on location. 2 surf boats training in the area reported seeing waka heading back up the channel to Onepoto harbour. Called Police to report this and they confirmed that they were safe and well and had just sent a stand-down. Returned to base. T3 Track Blog

The track will be two-way and is designed to be grade 5 techical downhill and a grade 5-6 technical uphill. The track will contain between 16 and 18 manmade and natural obstacles along the way. Porirua Hospital Museum
- The Porirua Hospital Museum and Resource Centre is housed in F-Ward, built in 1909 as part of the Porirua Hospital campus. It records the history of the development of mental health services in New Zealand from what can be considered their inception in 1844. The Museum, a Category 1 historic place, contains a collection of artefacts from the history of Porirua Hospital, including its time as a psychiatric facility.

The Thistle Inn
- The Thistle Inn was built in 1840. she is the oldest hotel in NZ still trading from the original site. In July 1866 she was burnt to the ground but by December the same year she was back operating. You will see the original beer cellar through the glass floor. She is a Category 1 historic place building and was completely restored in 2004 (as close as possible to how she was in 1866).

San Antonio School
