The Congestion Pricing Roadmap
- Eye of the Fish
- It seems that the roadmap to congestion pricing is itself congested: gridlocked by an array of obstacles and opinions. We have a $200k report/proposal, dense legal obstacles, technical challenges, a mayor that is “not even lukewarm”, and a public that is overwhelming against the issue. So what happens next? Nothing?

Wynton Rufer Tournament Update
- Stop Out Sports Club
- To All Junior Clubs. It is with great regret that Stop Out have decided to postpone the 14th Wynton Rufer tournament for August / September 2008. The impact of weather on the ground availability this season is clear to all of us involved in sport. Stop Out have worked very hard with Excel and with schools and colleges to come up with a viable alternative proposal, but it has proved impossible.

Bus shelter for Kanpur Road, Broadmeadows
- Wellington City Council
- More bus shelters are required in the Broadmeadows area. Currently there is only 1 bus stop with a shelter. I am particularly keen on one being installed outside 43 Kanpur Road where due to the driving nature of the weather in this area people gather under the eaves of the garage of 43 Kanpur Road. This stop also caters for a few different roads and is often busy.

A City for People
- Decades of inaction have meant house prices are out of control, while old rental properties rot out from underneath us. A whole generation of people are at risk of being forced out from the central city into new suburbs sprawling north, spending hours every day in traffic jams. We believe the Spatial Plan will allow Wellington to plan for the future so that new generations of Wellingtonians can share the city we love, and have a chance to live in a home that is affordable, accessible, healthy and warm.

Our Bar
- New Zealand’s capital city now has a fantastic new gay bar - ‘Our Bar’, is opening in October. With a warm and inviting atmosphere it is unparalleled in the community. Our Bar is not an average pub; it is a bar with great food, great people, great staff and an even greater heart.
