Wellington: screwed
- WCC Watch
- So not only are many of our buildings going to collapse – but it seems that the very building that houses our city council is an earthquake risk. Given how vital the WCC will be to any disaster efforts, this is very scary. The article is very light on details – particularly how much it would cost to fix the problem. If anyone has any more information – please send it through.

Corporate Rowing
- Wellington Rowing Club
- Wow, what an action packed 3 months that was! Starting back in May when it was dark and cold in the morning, through to a weekend in Whanganui and on to August and Regatta day when, well, it rained – a lot!! Many new rowers thought they knew the pain of a rowing machine, they had no idea how many squats you can possibly do or how complicated an octopul can be.

Bike network plan | Projects - WCC Transport Projects
- Creating a citywide network of connected bike and scooter routes in tandem with walking improvements and big public transport changes will make that possible. This is an ambitious plan. We must act swiftly to change how we move around to reduce the city’s carbon emissions and get the network completed in 10 years. To help us get there, we’ll be making interim improvements where we can, using lower-cost materials and involving local communities. The bike network plan includes finishing Tahitai, the walking and biking connection around Evans Bay between Miramar and the central city, and The Parade upgrade in Island Bay.
