- Karori Slapperz AFC
- The Slapperz faced Wellington United in round 11, a team whom we beat 4-2 in the first round in a scrappy performance. The return leg proved to be a much better performance by the Slapperz as they put Wellington to the sword, comfortably coming away with a 4-0 win.

The Congestion Pricing Roadmap
- Eye of the Fish
- It seems that the roadmap to congestion pricing is itself congested: gridlocked by an array of obstacles and opinions. We have a $200k report/proposal, dense legal obstacles, technical challenges, a mayor that is “not even lukewarm”, and a public that is overwhelming against the issue. So what happens next? Nothing?

Premier v Karori - 26/07/2008 - L 8-3
- Island Bay United AFC
- Up 1-0 within 2 minutes, only to be 2-1 down at half-time and absolutely thrashed 8-3 at the end of 90 minutes by a waterside team desperate to stay up, and who's commitment to that task coupled with some great touches constantly overpowered our midfield and defense.

Review: The Hobbit Companion
- The Wellingtonista
- It’s not by chance that John Ronald Reuel Tolkien’s was the setting that would become the default template for the popular notion of high-fantasy; no arbitrary circumstance that led to Tolkien’s intricately-crafted argot becoming the lingua franca of the sword-and-sorcery genre as it’s commonly understood today.
