Newlands 3 Netball – Collegiate 1C Winners

- There were 73 participants, and all controls got at least one visit. Perhaps too many visits from the point of view of the tramps, who apparently had to move from their seat in Central Park at Control 30 for rogainers to inspect the plaque.

Runabout with fuel problems

- Operation Details Date/Time: Thu, 30/01/2014 - 10:00 - 11:30 Operation Type: CG Operation (good samaritan) People Assisted: 1 Total Volunteer Hours: 9 6m alloy runabout with 1 person on board fishing near Te Rewa Rewa Point. He was unable to restart his vessel due to a loose fuel hose. Coastguard Mana were contacted directly and sent out a rescue vessel to tow him back in. Upon arriving at the scene the vessel was able to restart their engine and were escorted back to Mana. Removal of log navigation hazard

- Operation Details Date/Time: Sun, 16/05/2021 - 08:30 - 12:30 Operation Type: CG Operation (good samaritan) People Assisted: 0 Total Volunteer Hours: 24 A large log was reported to be partially submerged, but stuck in the same position, near Plimmerton Boating Club that was a significant boating hazard. The Harbour Master asked us to attempt to recover it to remove the hazard. We were able to get a line onto it and towed it back to Mana Cruising Club, where we towed it up the launching ramp with the 4x4. Northern United Rugby Football Club
- Northern United Rugby Football Club Inc was established in 1990 as a result of the amalgamation of the Porirua and Titahi Bay Rugby Football Clubs after their 1989 season. Northern United RFC is known as ‘Norths’ within the Wellington Rugby Football Union. The initial playing strip was the Porirua Rugby Club jersey with the Titahi Bay Rugby Club shorts and socks but in 1990 the official blue and white playing strip was introduced, which remains prominent 30 years on.

We’ve been working out, as a community organization, what our part is in sparking the local community economic systems that truly value what makes people’s lives better. Te Hiko is our koha to this kaupapa.

Wellington City Rural Fire Force
- The Wellington Regional Council formed the WCRFF in 1993. Originally the Force shared residence with the Wellington Free Ambulance at Newtown. The Force moved to its’ own station in Burma Road Johnsonville, in December 1999 and stayed there for 3 ½ years. As the crew numbers increased and the purchase of the tanker the Wellington City Council moved our location to Tawa Depot on the 12th July 2003. Our current station gives us the opportunity to increase our crew numbers to our desired benchmark of 30 as well as housing our entire fleet, which currently consists of 6 vehicles, 4 trailers and a Communication Caravan.
