        • Richard Apperley Tuesday 1 May, 2015 Toccata in d minor ‘Dorian’ BWV 538 This work is nicknamed the ‘Dorian’ Toccata and Fugue because there is no key signature printed at the start of the music and the tonality is based in d minor, which would usually imply that it was written in the dorian mode.
