    • Fun and Food In Mt Victoria
      • Innermost Gardens and Crossways Community Centre are hosting a Mid Winter Seasonal dinner at Innermost Gardens on Saturday 23rd July from 5pm. The lovely folks at Innermost are working alongside a wonderful local chef on the menu, as well as providing most of the ingredients from their awesome garden to create this community dinner. There is both vegetarian and a meat option with a delicious apple crumble for dessert, dips and breads will be provided as well – all the food will be freshly home made. We will be providing a glass of mulled wine on arrival (or a non alcoholic option). There will also be music, activities and of course lots of great food. The cost of ticket for dinner is a suggested koha donation on the night and we welcome gold coin donation for activities and games participation. Booking are essential as numbers are limited. We look forward to seeing you there for another great opportunity to catch up with friends and neighbours. There is no EFTPOS available at Innermost so please bring cash with you. All proceeds after costs are going towards a new kids garden feature that is planned for Innermost Gardens. You can email Trish at crossways@crossways.org.nz to book a ticket or text/call 021 765525

The movie is The Age Of Stupid, in which Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite (In The Name of the Father, Brassed Off) stars as a man living alone in the devasted world of 2055, looking back at “archive” footage from 2007 and asking: why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance? The movie has only just been released in Australia and New Zealand, and so everyone will have a chance to see a band-new movie while supporting Crossways!
