    • Transport - the route ahead
      • In what seems like a record fast time for Public Consultation, Greater Wellington Regional Council and Transit have turned out results from the public consultation round. As Transit’s “Phase 2 Consultation Report” notes, there was a total of 4673 submissions, including 3750 Option 3 “Green Alliance” postcards and 482 Chamber of Commerce postcards received, and a mere 71 actual written submissions from various bodies and organisations.

    • Quick questions
      • Is it better to have a supermarket in Mt Cook, so that the locals can do their shopping on foot rather than taking a taxi from Thorndon via the bypass, or a swimming pool? Would replacing Crossways with 3-4 storeys of apartments, and creating a new set of community facilities on the ground floor, be a possible compromise that would keep Mt Vic residents happy?

    • P2 Women Vs Kapiti - 17/06/07
      • P2 Women had a hard fought game vs Kapiti. Possession was fairly even with Kapiti eventually coming out the winners 3-1. Kat Bealing scored Upper Hutts goal with a fantastic reverse shot in the second half. Unfortunately we were unable to convert several other scoring opportunities, but did however manage to keep Kapiti scoreless in the second half. A great effort with no subs!!

    • Transit’s tasteless menu
      • The latest iteration of what was once Transit, now called the NZ Transport Agency, (obligatory maori moniker: Waka Kotahi) is now into publishing. Edition no. 3 of Pathways is glossy and cheerful, and like most of the recent publications from recently re-organised public service departments, entirely full of bumpf and platitudes with nothing much useful to say at all. • BNU 1sts v Kapiti Coast United - 15th June 2013
      • Another week and another must win game as we travelled to Kapiti for what we knew would be a tough encounter. The boys had looked tired in training during the week and with Kapiti having lost their last 3 games, we knew they would be desperate to find some form. The warm up did nothing to ease my concerns, as we looked a bit off the pace.

    • LGWM: The Gauntlet
      • Hi fishes. Well the LGWM thing was announced supporting the big, most expensive package. As you know I got my issues, discussed in 3-Big-Flaws here. Thought I’d come back and address a few bonus thoughts. First up: The Gauntlet Tunnel. To recap. The selected package aims for trams to Island Bay, frustratingly bypassing Newtown, and a busway to Kilbirnie and Miramar frustratingly attached to a new highway tunnel.
