The teams performed superbly all weekend and never gave up. Our Junior Boys finished the tournament in 10th place and had their first win of the season. The Junior Girls finished in 7th place and the Senior Girls finished in 5th place. Senior Girls qualified for Nationals, to be held in Wellington from 1-4 September. Well done to all teams and coaches you did the school proud. - Operation Details Date/Time: Tue, 22/10/2013 - 18:45 - 19:30 Operation Type: SAROP Cat 1 People Assisted: 1 Total Volunteer Hours: 6 A windsurfer who had been out with a group failed to return and was drifting in the water near Tokaapapa Reef unable to get back on his board or make way. TPR was deployed and recovered him just on dusk and returned him to Mana base for a checkup by paramedics. He had been in the water for over an hour. Pelorus and TPR returned to the scene to recover his board later. Porirua Hospital Museum
- The Porirua Hospital Museum and Resource Centre is housed in F-Ward, built in 1909 as part of the Porirua Hospital campus. It records the history of the development of mental health services in New Zealand from what can be considered their inception in 1844. The Museum, a Category 1 historic place, contains a collection of artefacts from the history of Porirua Hospital, including its time as a psychiatric facility.

The Thistle Inn
- The Thistle Inn was built in 1840. she is the oldest hotel in NZ still trading from the original site. In July 1866 she was burnt to the ground but by December the same year she was back operating. You will see the original beer cellar through the glass floor. She is a Category 1 historic place building and was completely restored in 2004 (as close as possible to how she was in 1866).

San Antonio School
