Cory Jane Scoops Top Tui Award
- Wellington Rugby Football Union
- Flying winger Cory Jane picked up the top award at the Wellington Rugby Tui Awards Dinner at Westpac Stadium on Friday night. The 23-year-old from Upper Hutt was named Tui Player of the Year for his outstanding performances for the Vodafone Wellington Lions this season, beating off stiff competition from the other two nominees: Ma'a Nonu and Joe McDonnell.

Bus services will be disrupted Wednesday, 24 September 7.30am-8.30am
- Go Wellington
- There will be no GO Wellington bus services leaving from the Wellington Rail Station or from Karori Terminus between the hours of 7.30am and 8.30am on Wednesday, 24 September. This includes 23 school buses. The Tramways Union has advised GO Wellington that it intends to take strike action during this peak commuter period, and that this will continue until further notice.

Lower Hutt Amateur Athletic Club
- The Lower Hutt Amateur Athletic Club (LHAAC) caters for children aged 7-15 years. The 2006-07 season runs from 25th October to 15th March. Club nights offer a mixture of competition and coaching to enable children to gain the necessary skills to participate in a variety of running, jumping and throwing events.
