- Newtown Kids4Drama presents African Folktales. Dedicated to Alexis Still. A much loved teacher who tragically lost her life in the Carterton ballooning accident. All profits go to support some of the work that Alexis was doing for World Vision in Africa. Tickets $5, door sales only. Showing 6-7pm

Regional one men - 2012 winners!
- Wellington Tennis Club
- Our regional one men beat Thorndon in the finals on 17 March at the Renouf Centre. It was a convincing 6-0 win.- Congratulations to (L-R) Sam Vinton-Boot, Dominic Miller, Kiranpal Pannu, Herve Michaud, Victor Romero and Kyle Butters.

Carrara Park Jazz Picnic this Saturday afternoon, noon till 7pm
- Newtown Festival
- Great Newtown Garage Sales in the morning then bring a picnic to Carrara Park and relax for the afternoon. Celebrate the Newtown Festival with a free jazz concert following the Tongan dance group at midday and Push Play games for the kids. A Life not so Sweet

Hi Ho – It’s off to build a fair we go! Newtown Festival Fair Day 2012 is on!

- Rain or shine the festival shall go on! It’s 5.30am and the festival team are up and at ‘em to put on Welli’s most loved day out in the streets. The storm looks worn out so head on down. If the rain does persist we’ve got room for all the performances to be held at alternative wet weather venues. So make sure you don’t miss out!

Burlesque gnomes added to Fair Day lineup!
- Newtown Festival
- Perky & Fiddle, two undercover gnomes from the Netherlands have just been confirmed for tomorrows lineup. They will be playing in front of the MainStreet stage at 11:45 (Between Joe Blossom and Amiria Grenell) and also will give a second performance at the Buskstop later in the day. - Take a trip back to Jamacia in the 60-70′s as Aotearoas, Ska, Rocksteady & Roots Reggae DJ, returns for his third year at the festival, selectin from his massive vaults of original vinyls. Skaman is a favourite around the Wellington clubs and cafes supporting some of NZeds top reggae bands, he has also been selecting his original classic Ska beats on RadioActive 88.6fm for over six years.
