- This weekend, the Wellington SPCA adopt-a-pet event hits Porirua and you need to be there!! Following a fantastically successful adopt-a-pet day in Newlands last Saturday that saw 16 of our Newtown animals find new homes, we thought this time we’d make a weekend of it!

Wellington Anniversary

- Newtown animal centre will be closed this Monday 25th January for Wellington Anniversary Day. Our Waikanae animal centre will be open on Monday for adoptions from 9am to midday.
