- Downstage will be hosting the 6th annual Pecha Kucha Night on Monday 19 October. Pecha Kucha - a presentation format for creative work originally devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein-Dytham Architecture (KDa) in Tokyo, Japan - is a unique, rapid-fire format in which each speaker shows 20 images, each for 20 seconds.

Stand up against Poverty: Sat 17 Oct, 12noon
- YWCA of Wellington & Hutt Valley
- In Wellington on Saturday October 17th from 10am-2pm, Stand Up Kiwis, led by the Art of Living will be active in Civic Square with live music and free yoga. At midday we’ll be spelling out the words Stand Up with a human chain, reading the Stand Up Pledge and counting the Wellingtonians who stand up for the global Guinness World Record attempt.

WIA Diwali Show 2009
