Finalist for Wellington Sports volunteer of the year
- Wellington Tennis Club
- Congrats to Mark Leggett, who made the finals of the volunteer of the year section at the Wellington Sports Awards recently. Mark was up against people from cricket, hockey, softball and canoe sprint. Hockey won, but tennis did emerge a winner on the evening with Kilbirnie Tennis Club taking out club of the year. Well done, Mark, on your success.

Family doubles event a good time

- Our Family doubles event last week was a fun event for all. Congrats to Tony and Stanley for winning and to Naomi and Aston for being runners-up. We also handed out prizes for best serve (Josie), best volley (Polly) and most improved (Harrison), and enjoyed some tasty snacks after the event. See you again next year!
