- Operation Details Date/Time: Sun, 16/05/2021 - 08:30 - 12:30 Operation Type: CG Operation (good samaritan) People Assisted: 0 Total Volunteer Hours: 24 A large log was reported to be partially submerged, but stuck in the same position, near Plimmerton Boating Club that was a significant boating hazard. The Harbour Master asked us to attempt to recover it to remove the hazard. We were able to get a line onto it and towed it back to Mana Cruising Club, where we towed it up the launching ramp with the 4x4. Runabout with fuel problems

He was unable to restart his vessel due to a loose fuel hose. Coastguard Mana were contacted directly and sent out a rescue vessel to tow him back in. Upon arriving at the scene the vessel was able to restart their engine and were escorted back to Mana. Capital Basketball comes in clutch for the community

Yacht damaged on pole moorings during storm

- Operation Details Date/Time: Fri, 25/03/2022 - 11:30 - 13:30 Operation Type: CG Operation (good samaritan) People Assisted: 1 Total Volunteer Hours: 8 A yacht broke the bow line on the pole moorings during a southerly storm. It swung around and damaged the yacht behind it. The Harbour Master requested us to help secure the vessel and MR2 put it back on the pole with a new line. It was later discovered that the vessel planks had been damaged and it was taking on water. MR1 was required to bring it in for a liftout later in the day. Aria Coleman qualifies for Oceania Championships in Artistic Roller Skating

- The news that the Bordeaux Bakery will close at the end of this week after 30 years in business enrages me. While I will miss the baguettes and mille feuille I often buy at Moore Wilson, what truly angers me is the disgraceful Council decisions and actions that have led to this.

June 2012: Sculpture Film premiered at Fundraiser
- Wellington Sculpture Trust
- The Trust commissioned a 17 minute film from Wellington production house Sauce to celebrate the 25 sculptures that the Trust has commissioned over its 30 years’ lifetime. The film, titled A Lasting Impression, was premiered to high acclaim at a fundraising event held at Park Road Post Production on 7 June 2012.

Northern United Rugby Football Club
- Northern United Rugby Football Club Inc was established in 1990 as a result of the amalgamation of the Porirua and Titahi Bay Rugby Football Clubs after their 1989 season. Northern United RFC is known as ‘Norths’ within the Wellington Rugby Football Union. The initial playing strip was the Porirua Rugby Club jersey with the Titahi Bay Rugby Club shorts and socks but in 1990 the official blue and white playing strip was introduced, which remains prominent 30 years on.

Wellington City Rural Fire Force
- The Wellington Regional Council formed the WCRFF in 1993. Originally the Force shared residence with the Wellington Free Ambulance at Newtown. The Force moved to its’ own station in Burma Road Johnsonville, in December 1999 and stayed there for 3 ½ years. As the crew numbers increased and the purchase of the tanker the Wellington City Council moved our location to Tawa Depot on the 12th July 2003. Our current station gives us the opportunity to increase our crew numbers to our desired benchmark of 30 as well as housing our entire fleet, which currently consists of 6 vehicles, 4 trailers and a Communication Caravan.
