- Operation Details Date/Time: Sat, 30/03/2013 - 12:25 - 16:30 Operation Type: SAROP Cat 1 People Assisted: 3 Total Volunteer Hours: 28 Three divers went missing from a group of five during a dive near the south end of Kapiti Island. The dive boat they were with lost track of their bubbles, and they weren't towing a marker buoy, after they were swept away from the dive area via strong currents. They surfaced together later and were swept further away from the area and the boat. Coastguard Mana was dispatched to assist in the search alongside Coastguard Kapiti and Westpac Rescue helicopter.
