    • Open Singles Decided
      • The Bowls Wellington Open Singles took place over the weekend Nov 2-4 at clubs throughout   Wellington.  Silverstream's Clare Hendra backed up her Open Singles win last season with another title, this time against Helen King 21-17 in a thrilling final at Island Bay. Adam Turner, also of Silverstream, went one better than 2018 taking out an equally thrilling final beating Sar Alefosio 21-20 in the men's tournament. This is only the second time that members from the same club have won both the Men's and Women's Open Singles. The previous time was 1975 when Seatoun achieved the feat.  Congratulations to everyone who took part. Bowls Wellington would also like to thank the tournament managers, umpires, host clubs and markers for helping the tournament run   smoothly. Also thank you to New World   Thorndon, New World Hutt City, New World Porirua and Bowls Specialists for your generous support.  Next up is the Open Fours and Open Pairs. Entries are still being taken for the Pairs, so register online to avoid missing out.

    • New Website
      • www.bowlswellington.com Bowls Wellington is delighted to launch their new website. While all the fantastic features of the old website still remain, such as being able to enter tournaments online and conditions of play, the new website will also hopefully appeal to new and non-bowlers providing all our community with a reference and information point throughout the season. With a simplistic menu and reduction of buttons, it should be easier to navigate and find what you are looking for. We are looking for feedback though so if there are any links that don't work, or anything you think we need to include, get in touch with us at info@bowlswellington.com
